Get to Know Dr. Steve Kim
Dr. Kim always knew he wanted to work in the healthcare industry. With encouragement from his mother, he decided to pursue dentistry because it combined his engineering skills with his aesthetic touch. After practicing for several years in Seoul, South Korea, he decided to specialize in Prosthodontics to truly master his dental capabilities.
A graduate of the elite Seoul National University with his DDS, Dr. Kim expanded his knowledge further at Boston University's prestigious Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, bringing along his wife, a former anchorwoman, and their two daughters.
Driven by a commitment to providing the highest level of excellence for his patients, Dr. Steve Kim continues to excel in his dental career, combining his international experience and education to deliver exceptional dental services and foster lasting relationships with his patients. He listens to each of their concerns with a calm and patient bedside manner, finessed over years of being a doting father and husband. The office's consistent 5-star reviews over nearly twenty years speak for themselves.
Dr. Kim's longtime passion and talent also lies in music. His skilled dexterity began when he was a bass guitarist of a rock band in his college days and continues playing to this day. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His younger daughter, Dr. Yoona Kim, joined the practice after graduating from the distinguished UCLA School of Dentistry.

Get to Know Dr. Yoona Kim
Dr. Yoona Kim is a compassionate and detail-oriented dentist who believes exceptional care begins with trust, communication, and genuine connection. A graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry, she combines strong clinical training with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. Known for her gentle touch and calming presence, Dr. Yoona takes the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and ensure every patient feels comfortable and supported throughout their care. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Academy of Clear Aligners.
Raised in a family deeply rooted in dentistry, Dr. Yoona learned early on the importance of empathy, integrity, and putting patients first. She brings that same philosophy into every aspect of her work, whether she is providing restorative care, planning Invisalign treatment, or helping patients achieve long-term oral health goals. In her free time, she enjoys tackling jigsaw puzzles, staying active with Pilates, and playing with her dog, Kaia. She is proud to be part of her father’s dental practice, where she carries forward the family’s core values of compassion, integrity, and patient-centered care.

Get to Know Dr. Bo Yu
Dr. Bo Yu is a general dentist known for his calm, thoughtful approach and commitment to personalized, high-quality care. He believes exceptional dentistry begins with listening and building trust, and patients appreciate his clear communication, gentle manner, and focus on long-term oral health. Dr. Yu earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from UCLA and later served as a full-time faculty member there, holding leadership roles including Director of Preclinical Education in Restorative Dentistry. His background in digital dentistry and modern clinical workflows allows him to deliver precise, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Yu is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, an honor awarded to approximately the top 3% of dentists nationwide for ethics, professionalism, leadership, and service, and a three-time recipient of the Donald Fisher Award for excellence in teaching. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cheering for the Dodgers and Arsenal, and cooking for family and friends. He is proud to be part of the collaborative, family-oriented team at Steve Kim DDS Dental Group and is passionate about building lasting relationships with his patients.
