Helps to Build Up a Better Bite
Studies have shown that babies who are breastfed for six months or more have a better bite than babies who rely on a bottle. Breastfed babies are less likely to develop an over bite, cross bite, under bite, or crooked teeth. This does not mean that your baby will never have any type of orthodontic issues, but it does mean that your baby is less likely to suffer from any of the listed conditions. You should still have your child evaluated by the age of 7 to see if orthodontic intervention may be necessary.
